NEW BOOK: "SCOUTING IN THE LDS CHURCH - A CENTENNIAL HISTORY"

By now, you may have heard of my new book entitled, "Scouting in the LDS Church - A Centennial History". I am pleased to announce that this book has just gone to press. INTRODUCTION TO KEVIN HUNT AND SCOUTING TRAILS BOOKS

Greetings! ... And good Scouting brotherhood to you. Welcome to my "Scouting Trails" blogsite.

For most of my life, Scouting has BEEN my life! I am Kevin V. Hunt, a self-avowed Red-Coat Scouter from Mesa, Arizona. I love the Scouting program - and that's why I created this Scouting blogsite.

Over the years, It's been my privilege and honor to travel many Scouting trails and to have served in many Scouting roles - from Tenderfoot Gnubie to Eagle Scout - and from volunteer Scouter, trainer, and camp director to BSA professional Scouter -and almost everything in between. It's been a great life!

Scouting has been a major part of my life since I became a Cub Scout - and so for me, at my age, that equates to nearly half of the 100-year history of the Boy Scouts of America.

In addition, I'm also an avid and dedicated journal writer. Since I was 18 years of age, I've maintained a daily journal and have an entry for literally every day of my life since then!

Along my Scouting Trails, I've gained a few valuable and many humorous insights about this great game that we call the Boy Scouting program. Many of those insights have come as I've observed first-hand - AND RECORDED the Scouting world around me.

From those many volumes of my personal journals and other research, I've now extracted some great Scouting techniques and memories and have created a few books - which I hope will interest you and other great Scouters everywhere.

I've tried unsuccessfully through the years to get these books published as printed books. With proper help and resources, that might still happen. In the meantime, however, and with the modern computer miracle, I can now make these books available to you through or via computer download.
